Search your own computer. Google Desktop Search moves out from Beta, now supports firefox and thunderbird, pdfs, music, images and video files too. You can also write your own plugins for it.

I usually dont like add anything extra on my toolbar but this time it's really useful (you can choice between web and desktop search)
Everyone who do daily work with computers should try the google desktop search, it really helps. For my case, I do edit lot of php/cfml/asp.net/actionscript files and im pretty sure that google desktop search finds em (because they are text files basicilly), and i also listen alot mp3s and read & write e-mails througth Outlook (Gmail by the way along others ;) and PDFs and word documents are used alot too ( Whitepapers, documention and so on..)
Really, give it a change, it even doesnt eat much memory (i know, i got slow pc)
